Discover Holidays in Buckden

Buckden is located on the B6160 North of Kettlewell in Upper Wharfdale with the famous Buckden Pike to the North East of the village. The area is well known to walkers and the occasional fell runner - Buckden Pike Fell Race is in June every year together with the village Gala, starting in the centre of the village. Walkers are attracted to the steep slopes of the Dale and the great scenery from open fields to wooded hillsides with hardy moorland on the tops. Look out for the local population of red squirrels together with other wildlife such as hares, rabbits and pheasants.  Accommodation is varied from Bed and breakfasts to Holiday cottages, from camp sites to camping barns. It is a great place to use as a base for exploring the Dales.
