Daisy Cottage

Daisy Cottage is in a beautiful countryside location in the centre of Goathland village with stunning views over the moors. The cottage is a charming, light, stone built bungalow with open plan living space, two bedrooms and one bathroom. The cottage is great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

The cottage has an open plan lounge/dining area with a fully fitted kitchen (inc washing machine, oven/hob and fridge with compartment freezer). The cottage has free WiFi, the lounge has Sat TV and a DVD player and the double bedroom also has Sat TV (freeview only). There are two bedrooms, a twin and a double (king size bed). Bed linen and towels are provided for your arrival.

Please note that the cottage is strictly non-smoking.

There is a shower room (with two access doors, one to the lounge and one to the double bedroom) and for this reason we recommend the property for familes rather than two couples as the shower/toilet is shared. There is electric heating throughout the cottage and a gas fire if you need some extra warmth to snuggle up in winter. There is gated parking for up to two cars in front of the cottage and a lovely patio area to the side and back with stunning views over the moors.

The cottage itself is just a short stroll away from the village shops, steam railway station and tea rooms. There are also three pubs within ten minutes’ walk which all offer evening meals and of course Whitby is a short hop (9 miles) by car, bus or steam train. Walkers are truly spoiled for choice with the nearby Roman Road, Rail trail, Mallyan Spout waterfall, the stepping stones at Darnholm or there is always Beck Hole for relaxing with a pie and a pint.

Goathland is the setting for ITV's Heartbeat and the steam railway station was used in the Harry Potter films. Goathland has many lovely walks, you can take in the fresh air out on the moors or take a walk through woodlands, over bridges and on to see the waterfalls. The village itself is in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors which is a National Park and contains many beautiful English Heritage and National Trust sites such as Riveaulx Abbey and Castle Howard. The North Yorkshire Moors contains many beautiful villages and there are lots of places to buy local crafts and produce. The charming seaside town of Whitby is nearby, it’s the perfect place to relax, make a sandcastle and eat delicious fish and chips.
