Oly & Jen took over the tenancy of Butt Farm in 2014. The farm is set in 180 acres and is home to a small heard of suckler cows & their calves, Norman the Bull, some sheep, chickens & a 'sometimes' well behaved springer spaniel called Mr Fynn.

The caravan and campsite opened in March 2016 & is set within 1 hectare of grassland with open views of the East Yorkshire countryside. Disused farm buildings have been transformed into a modern facilities & amenities block, which is fuelled by a renewable biomass boiler.

The site won a RETYA in 2017 ( Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Award) for Best Newcomer.

Butt Farm welcomes caravans, tents and motorhomes. We have 30 pitches including 12 hard standings, and 6 electric hook ups. Groups & Cyclists are all welcome at Butt Farm.

We look forward to seeing you soon,

Oly & Jen

  • Lovely weekend

This was our first time staying at Butt farm and also our first time camping in quite a few years. Travelling wise Butt farm was really easy to find with plenty of signs to get you through the last part off the journey. We didn't need to meet anyone as our pitch site was on the board as you drive through the last gate. Perfect as we could get our tent up straight away. We had a 5 man tent and had loads off room to set up and make our area our own. Lucy was on hand this weekend to ensure we had everything we need and she was fab. She always had a smile on her face and a hello. She set us up with our fire pit perfect. On site the shower blocks were lovely and warm and a good strong warm shower. The utility area was perfect for our needs with an area giving local information and maps. We had our dog with us so was able to enjoy a few good walks and there was also an easy walk into Beverly so we didn't need to use the car again. Perfect place to stay and we will be back

  • So glad we found this site.

We were looking for a site within around 2 hours driving time from home, mainly so we can stay for 2 nights leaving on a Friday night after work.
The site itself is on a working farm, so don't be surprised to see chickens around your tent during the day... something the kids loved.
There is a Supermarket about 15 minutes walk away, smaller shops in Beverley if you fancy a day out, and there were fresh farm eggs available on site too.
A short walk from the site is a WWII Anti Aircrat gunsite which still has most of the original buildings and gun mounts still standing. Worth a visit if you have an interest in war/history or just a cool place to look around even if you're not.
All in all we came away looking forward to the next time we can sneak away for a weekend after work, and hopefully we can sort the weather next time :)

  • What’s not to like;()

Lovely peaceful site, friendly owner Oly, clean warm facilities, about 30 mins walk to Beverley will definitely return!
Just take a left as you come off the main road not right as the satnav says to or you will arrive at a dead end road !

  • Lovely site and location

We wanted a base for the weekend for Beverley and Hull to meet up with friends. This fitted the bill really well. Easy to book and good price. Site is a little way out of Beverley but we had a car as well as motorhome so this wasn’t a problem.

Warm, clean toilet facilities and good views across the fields.

Hard standing pitches are good for vans up to 7m but you might find it a bit tight over that. No grey water disposal for motorhomes but not a problem for a weekend visit.

  • Perfect place in excellent location

We had three nights stay. Peaceful site. Pitches clearly set out with local water and electric pick up exactly as described. Toilet / shower areas very clean and warm. Chickens wandering about and cows in field behind. Local supermarket fifteen minutes walk. We used as a base to explore locally including Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington and Beverley. Plenty to do even on the rainy day. Oly very friendly and welcoming.
