Pateley Bridge

Home > Pateley Bridge

The award winning Nidderdale Museum houses Pateley Bridge’s history; showing how its prosperity came from lead-mining, flax and stone quarrying. The narrow main High Street is lined with village tea shops and cafes, pubs and trinket jewellery shops. Pubs and guest houses mingle between the shops and lie further outside the market town offering a welcome rest for the night with their enticing Yorkshire breakfasts.
The Playhouse in Pateley Bridge is known as the ‘Little Theatre of the Dales’ and is a charity based organisation that puts on plays throughout the year. Other attractions include Brimham Rocks, How Stean Gorge at Lofthouse, Ripley Castle and Stump Cross Caverns.
Located off the B6265 north west of Harrogate and east of Grassington, it has great road links with its nearest train station at Harrogate 10 miles away.
