Otley
Home > Otley | Otley in West Yorkshire is located in lower Wharfedale. The river Wharfe which runs through the town provides an idyllic backdrop with lovely walks and boating available. The churches in Otley offer a diverse range including Otley’s oldest church, The Church of All Saints. There are many tea rooms offering a comforting break from the hustle and bustle and lots of pubs for something a little stronger! Guest houses and pubs offer welcoming places to stay with sizzling Yorkshire breakfasts at very reasonable rates. There are a couple hotels with superb facilities and holiday cottages are newly refurbished offering self-catering accommodation. |
| Otley is a very busy market town with 3 weekly markets, a monthly farmer’s market and other events taking place all year round including the Otley Show in May, the Carnival in June, the Folk festival in September and the Victorian Fair in December to name but a few. Otley is a favourite for television producers, the town often being used as a set for ‘Heartbeat’ and ‘Emmerdale’. |
 | As already mentioned, Otley has great links to Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate just off the A659. Leeds Bradford International Airport is 3 miles away as is the local train station at Menston. Otley provides a great place to unwind and relax in a typical Yorkshire market town. |
