 | Probably best known for its site of rare limestone pavement, visitors are always keen to look round Malham all year round. Malham cove is a huge natural amphitheatre, from where the disappearing River Aire reappears. The top of the cove is a large area of deeply eroded limestone pavement of a strange pattern rarely seen in England. |
| Gordale Scar is an impressive Limestone Gorge complete with waterfalls that cut right into the limestone hillside. Gordale Scar is known to be one of the highlights of Malham. There's lots to offer in the form of accommodation; pubs offer B & B, Guest houses and farmhouses have a welcoming and friendly feel about them and self-catering accommodation is in abundance in holiday cottages or camping and caravan sites. Malham is located at the foot of the Dales, within 11 miles of Skipton. Buses run throughout the Dales and the nearest train station is Gargrave, 7 miles away. |  |
