  • 4 Stars We have stayed here twice,first time in the farmhouse and second in Trueman cottage and both are lovely,cosy and great for families,the swimming pool and games rooms are excellent and are very handy to have close by and within the grounds but must say they would be even better if they had a revamp,it is realy good having a park and tennis court on site aswell.
    They is lots to do away from the cottages as it is only a short distance to the centre of York and there is shops local
    Overall we love staying here and will be returning for another family holiday     kirsty henderson, newcastle

  • 3 Stars The farmhouse is a great place to stay, for a large family get together. We, especially the children, always enjoy the swimming pool and games room. The location is excellent for trips to Whitby/York/ Scarborough etc. and is near enough to the local supermarkets/designer outlet but at the same time being semi rural. The property is comfortable enough and reasonably well equipped. We have also stayed in a couple of the cottages. Rowntree is much brighter than the farmhouse and is suitable for a large group. Our favourite of the smaller cottages is Trueman, which is ideal for a small family, and young children can play just outside in view of the cottage. Our only negative is that a little TLC wouldn’t go amiss but this won’t stop us from booking again. J P, Lancashire
