Northallerton
Home > Northallerton | Northallerton is a pleasant market town, drawing people from miles around to visit the twice weekly market held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Northallerton’s church of All Saints dates back to 1120 and just outside the town a memorial stone marks the site of the Battle of the Standard when the English defeated the Scots in 1138. Northallerton can also be linked with Charles I after his imprisonment there and Charles Dickens who stayed at the Fleece Inn in the 19th century. |  |
